hmmm, that's an interesting fix, Nathan. I haven't tried that one. Does it
mess with latency?

Hiya Teddy!
Don't know because I ended up using a DAE instrument (EXS) cabled to the
metronome object. ESB was just generally too flakey on my machine
(mostly just with kloppy). That takes care of the first beat problem
and makes i/o cue routing a lot more intuitive too.
Speaking of latency, I have only just begun to realize that the ESB
latency for instruments has been really messing with me. Have you had
trouble with that. I feel like I am compensating while I am playing and
have to end up quantizing everything. I never bothered measuring it but
I suspect it is considerably more than I have been accustomed to before
using ESB.
