If your TD 6 is anything like my older TD 5 drum pad kit, there is no local
off on the module. The only thing you can do is, in Logic, set up a fader
object before your TD 6 instrument and set the fader to filter out thru. So,
basically the midi thru won't go back to your TD 6. The flanging will be
gone.

Thanks for your comments. I'll have a look for a Local MIDI setting
on the TD-6.
However, I guess I did not say that I have tried disconnecting the
MIDI out of the TD-6 whilst sending MIDI data from Logic, only for
the flange to persist (I wondered if the TD-6 was sending out MIDI
data of what it's playing only for Logic to send that back -- I
figured that would become an endless feedback loop though).
Therefore, I wondered if MIDI information was arriving at the TD-6
duplicated from Logic somehow. In line with that idea and whats been
suggested, I shall see about the MIDI thru fader thingy ... hmmm,
manual time (does that mean that this MIDI thru functionality is
being performed in Logic? Why does my N1R not do this on non-drum
tracks??)
I shall have a look at the suggestions made when I get home tonight
(UK time) and let you know what occurs.
Thanks for all your help
Kind regards
Robert

the N1R is a rack module that has no Internal triggering.
Local mode toggles on or off a synth's own keyboard or pads in terms of them
communicating with the onboard sound Synth.
Thus with local on and a sequencer on with midi thru, the note data is
arriving at the Synth twice , slightly delayed in one instance by the
journey to the computer and back, giving you the phased sound.
turning local mode off means the keyboard or pads are only sending data to
the computer, and not the onboard sounds, the computer then returns the data
to the specified Synth, channel and voice.
So you only trigger once and have no phase issue.
hope that clears it up.
