A few options:Use Ignore release function in Kontakt (It should exist, It is in reaktor and kontakt is designed for drums). Some better (and playable) alternatives first:In the instrument parameters functions window on the left of the arrange window on MIDI THru or instrument channel, a few lines below quantize there is a function called gate time, you can quadruple all note lengths or try using them legato. you could also try to run an arpeggiator inline, quantize off, but fixing length to a usable length and turning repeat off. I'll assume you know how to insert an arp. I don't know if you meant a value of 2 pulses provide the entire shot or gated shot. There are also several ways to mod this once it is recorded.

G'day Paul, Transformers in the Environment can't process note lengths. The Transform window can, but that's no good to you for live playing. The only way I can think of to fix your problem is this: Use a transformer to convert yr notes to another status. I usually use polyphonic aftertouch (rather than controllers) cos u can still see what the notes are if u happen to be using monitors. Use another transformer to separate the 'note-offs' (i.e. events with a value of 0) from the 'note-ons'. Put the 'note-offs' through a delay. "Thru Original" = Off, number of repeats = 1, delay time = something that makes yr note lengths more useful. Put 'note-ons' and newly-delayed 'note-offs' through another transformer that turns 'em back into notes. NB: the sequencer needs to be running for this to work. HTH.

I noticed that when I hit the pads I would rarely hear a sound even >though I could see responses on my AMT8, Logic Control, and the transport, >so I recorded into Logic to see what was going on. I opened up the Matrix >window for the recorded midi region, but everything looked ok. Then I >opened up the Event List and I noticed that the only events that were being >heard were of Length 2 and greater, but the DD-55 rarely sent out note >lengths that were not 1. In Kontakt in the edit window at the whery top rack you need to check the release parametar, so on that way you will hear big difrent. That it's my conclusion when I work with Kontakt.
