I remember opening for Anthony Braxton in Denver, and having to go back to
the sound booth (a theater-type insulated affair) because I couldn't keep
from laughing. He was making obscene grunts through the instrument that
sounded like Water Buffalos in heat. I think that may have been the
funniest show I've ever seen.
Of course the audience was all sitting in respectful silence, which made it
even funnier.....
