Subject: Re: Automate plugins; latency
Message #9614
Hello people, >Any chance you could explain briefly how you automate Autofilter in >Hyperdraw (I'm yet to successfully automate any plug-in). Sascha's already commented on this, particularly the problem with CC 64 for automation, but this method might be a little faster : 1) Put your plugin in 2) Create & select a track to record automation 3) Set position and record-pause (Del then Space) 4) Tweak the plugin parameter you wish to automate 5) Stop (Enter twice) 6) Go to Matrix or Hyper Edit 7) Use Hyperdraw Autodefine This is how I automate my synth, record one setting with record-pause and Logic can define the HyperDraw automatically from that! Then you can quickly draw the rest of the automation. Latency : TDM has only a few samples of latency, and operates pretty much in real time. Was there another reason you shelled out all that money? :-) If you don't have TDM or DSP Factory, you have much more latency. Parts must be manually pre-delayed to compensate for this. Cheers, Thomas
