We are proud to announce a group buy for Elemental Audio Systems'
Firium/Eqium bundle! In addition, as long as 45+ members sign up
for the group buy, all LUG members who purchased the Firium/Eqium
bundle within the past two weeks will receive a discount on
their next product - see below for details!
-- About Firium/Eqium --
As you've probably noticed there has been a lot of talk about
these two EQ plugins lately on the list. Here are some
highlights and related links where you can find more info and
try out the demos.
Firium:
- completely transparent EQ which will not color your audio
with non-linear phase shifting
- uses a finite impulse response filter
- has a spectrum matching features to learn the frequency
response of one audio source and apply it to another
- lets you easily A/B different settings
- you can work with each channel separately, or use one of 4
different channel linking modes
- contains a customizable spectrum analyzer.

Eqium:
- unlimited number of fully overlappable bands

- 11 different filter types available

- includes presets for hum/AC line noise removal, telephone
filter, and more
- supports flexible parameter automation

-- About the Group Buy --
The group buy will last for 2 weeks, until January 18th 2004.
To sign up email groupbuy@... (groupbuy AT logic-users.org)
and please be sure to include your name. When the group buy is
over Elemental Audio Systems will email you with a link where
you can purchase the software at the discounted price.
The price for the group buy depends on how many people sign up.
We had over 85 sign-ups for our last group buy so getting the
full discount below shouldn't be hard at all, especially
considering the quality and price of these amazing EQs.
Firium's normal price: $129
Eqium's normal price: $129
Normal price if you buy both at once: $169
If 10 people sign up: $159
If 25 people sign up: $149
If 45 people sign up: $139
If 65 people sign up: $129
Assuming 65+ members sign up, this means everyone who
participates will receive both plugins for the price you'd
normally pay for just one of them!
If 45 people or more participate in the group buy (dropping
the price of the Bundle below $149 for those who sign up),
Elemental Audio Systems will give all LUG users who
purchased the Bundle in the two weeks before the group buy
a discount on their next product. For details and to
register for this discount, just contact Customer Service
(customerservice@...) with your email
address and order number.
All native formats are included with purchase. The Elemental
Audio Systems product license permits a single user to
install and use any and all native versions on any number of
computers for their sole use. This means individual Windows
users will not need to purchase an additional license to use
the Mac version (and vice versus) and all users can use and
install all available formats on their machine.
If you have any questions about the group buy please email the
groupbuy@... (groupbuy AT logic-users.org) address.
If you have questions about the plugins check out
http://www.elementalaudio.com/support/index.html
for a user's guide and FAQ, or to contact Elemental Audio Systems
if you still can't find your answer.
Best wishes, and happy new year,

I wondered if this might happen ... thanks for setting it up, but
frankly, I'd prefer a group buy of just Firium, perhaps at US$90-100.
Eqium doesn't interest me overmuch...

Hi John,
That was my initial feeling also. After using Equim, I definitely
changed my mind. Sometimes when using a virtual instrument, I add an
eq insert for sound shaping. When I'm playing in real time, the Equim
is way better suited than the Firium due to latency considerations.
Without the Equim, I would be using the Channel EQ, and frankly, it
just doesn't compare.

I must have missed the original post, I am very interested could you please

My feelings too. Even if eqium did not sound a little better than
channel EQ the interface and other features would still make it
worthwhile.

I would be in for a Firium only group buy.
Maybe if enough people respond, this will be an option.
cheers
Arvid.
The group buy is a great idea. Thank you to those of you (Admin) who
took the time to put this together! One question, is there any way for
us to be kept up to date on the "sign up tally" so we know when we
break
a price threshold? This may also provide momentum for getting a large
number of sign-ups.
Thank you again,
Dave

Absolutely - if you check the web page http://www.logic-users.org
I'll keep a current tally underneath the prices. So far we've had 19
people signup which is an awesome turnout for the first day alone.
Best wishes

You must have missed something, I got my plugins the 19th of January which
was around the time the offer ended.

Elemental Audio Systems sent out an email to everyone who signed up,
sometime around January 18th or 19th. In a few hours when I'm off
of work I will check my records at home, and contact Elemental for
you, to get this resolved.
Take care

I could bite my ass that I missed the group buy this time - these plugs are
really great. So if anyone does not want their group bought eqs - here I am.
:)
Any chance to get a little percentage off the normal price for logic-users
late buyers? :)
Greetings, Thedi.
