Im trying to figure out how to route the output of bus 1 back into itself
(with a send knob of course to deal with the feedback)
The closest Ive come is seeing that I can set the output of a bus
to other buses. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The "Logic" of the mixer won't allow this. Are you seeking dubwise
(irie) echo
FX? If so I do this using Logic's own tape delay inserted on a bus. You can
automate the plug-in's controls by assigning the bus to an arrange track and
setting up track automation view. I like the tape delay loads ...
Of course my leap could be way off (in which case I am intrigued as to what
u
r after).

I've just tried setting up an Aux object with bus as input and
sending to that same bus. No effect.
I think you will actually have to cable the out from your interface
to the in and control that somehow (with an input track!). Please be
careful with your ears. Also, you may want to insert a cheap mixer in
this chain somewhere as that tends to add texture to the feedback. I
think this is one of the uses for cheap material: exploit their
weaknesses and then drop them like hot potatoes.... ;-)

Hi Tony,
I am interested in dub style effects, however Ive got the dub echo pretty
down pat and wanted to experiment with whole chains of plugins... pitchbend
reverb flange etc etc
I might just try patching an out to an in on my 001...
I wonder if its possible to have a limiter set inline to prevent runaway ear
damaing feedback loops.
thanks for your help

Now this is strange. Cause this was the first thing i tried when they
introduced Auxes *and it worked* back then. Now it doesn't.
Bummer. Even the old 'send to another bus and route that back to the first
bus' doesn't work anymore.

Pitchbend and delay in a feedback chain makes for some VERY cool sounds.
If you are still in OS 9 it should be possible with Pluggo, otherwise
Pluggo for OS X should be forthcoming.

Is this true? I have to check it out. What a bummer! I'm doing these dub
echoes à la the Orb in Ableton Live and it's simply so cool! The
essence of
dub echoes on a daw is to be able to slap sweep EQ, pitch bend or other
effects into the feedback loop. If Logic 6 can't do this it is really bad
news. Have to check it out tomorrow... Wasn't that possible with earlier
Logic versions? By utilizing Aux objects, that is.

Yesyesyes, i've done it sometime in the past when Aux Objects were
implemented and it definitely worked.
