I've been having many crashes lately. I've been trying to figure out what is
the cause.
The crashes occur under certain circumstances (that I can't understand or
track) when
I have notation screens open. I thought it might have been the notation
screen itself
and seemed to have crashes when selecting and deleting or editing non-note
objects
like slurs, dynamics, etc. Well I just had a crash again on going to a
screenset with a
score window open, and so I relaunched Logic and opened the same song (with
the
last saved version) and decided to try opening a new score window in the
current
screenset, and it opened and I don't have problems, yet.
Is it possible that there is a problem or bug introduced in version 6.3 that
casusse a
crash when it interacts with the screensets of song files from previous
versions? I am
working with several files that have been upgraded to version 3.5, version
5, and now
version 6 format.
Supposing users here can't figure this out, what's the general process for
getting this
to emagic's attention these days?

Yeah, that can be a problem. Old songs can sometimes become subtly corrupted
when they are opened in later versions - I found the move from 4.x to 5.x
made a few
songs a bit wobbly.
While there's not much you can reliably do about it for individual songs
apart from
trying to get all the data out into a new "clean" song (urk), I've
found it is definitely a
good idea to build a new autoload at each major version upgrade (keeping the
old one
around just in case of course).

Write an email to your local Emagic dealer, and ask them to forward
it to Emagic. I have had responses in this way.
