Subject: [LAW] Autofilter Tempo Sync?
Message #151390
Hi All: I just tracked a very cool bassline, with 1/8 note cutoff frequency sweeps synced to song tempo with the ES-1. I'd like to do something similar now with my Fender P-Bass, that is, copy the bassline and the filter sweeps but gain the character and articulation you get from actually playing a real bass. I checked the Autofilter plug in, the manual and the Logic FAQ, but I can't seem to find a way to sync filter sweeps to song tempo with audio (and trying to sync the filter manually is virtually impossible--always drifts out of time). Anyone have ideas on how I might be able to achieve this? Perhaps routing the audio through something else? Some other softsynth? You can insert a filter (like Autofilter) on the audio track, and automate its parameters in e.g. 1/8th steps, can't you? Seems like that's what you want to do, unless I misunderstood your question. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra h @ k n o w a r e . n l Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/

As with many plugins, you'll get a drop down box at the bottom which has extra parameters in it. Turn on _Beat Sync_, and then the _Rate_ control will allow you to choose a sync setting. Hit the _Sync_ button on plugin panel and you're away. askii ____________________ [,_, ]. ASKIIproduct soniX ____________________ http://www.minkengine.com
