Subject: [LUG] [LAM] Can I Automate an Effect "BYPASS"?
Message #151383
Is there any way of automating an effect "Bypass On/Off"? Alternatively, is there a way of editing an insert's dry/wet level when that parameter doesn't seem to exist within the plugin, e.g, Phaser? Is the only way to send it to a bus with the effect and fade the bus level up/down? Thanks, Paul -- Paul Zimmer (ZAP! - Music and Sound Design) www.zimmeraudio.com

I do all my automation by drawing it in the arrange window, so turn on automation, click-hold on the top entry ("main" or something), and you should see "insert1 bypass", etc. Select that and you can draw in the automation for bypassing that effect. I assume you can also do it in realtime record mode, but I never automate that way so I don't know. -smeet
