Hi all, I tried searching the archives for this, but it seems like the search returned almost all of the digests, and I couldn't find what I was looking for, so... I am a brand spanking new Logic Audio Platinum 4.0 (PC) user. Just got it today. Anyway, since I'm upgrading from a competitor's product, I won't have a manual till it gets sent to me. I'm sending the registration in tomorrow. Hopefully it won't take long. So far, I like what I see. I've figured out a lot of things already, though mostly on my own, since it seems that a lot of the info in the Intro and Addendum "manualettes" I got is either wrong or out of date. In some case, the commands listed are for the Mac, which is fine, but doesn't help me much...8-D Anyway, it seems like Logic is a pretty deep program, and there's a lot I may not figure out till I get the manual, but I'm hoping someone can get me started. One of the things I can't seem to figured out is how to record automation (at all). It appears that by default, nothing is set to record. In most packages I've played with, it was pretty simple to enable (sometimes one button), but I haven't found it. The online help file doesn't seem to have much on this.
