Subject: [GEN] How to use Logic with two midi source devices?
Message #151346
Hello, My setup: Mac G4 400MHz/512, MacOS 9.2, Logic Platinum 4.8.1/MacAV, OMS 2.3.8. I try to make a studio setup with two midi source devices: a drumpad and a keyboard. The goal is to connect both to a separate AudioInstrument (with a VST instrument inserted) so that each one of them has its own sound and midi channel. I have made it possible connecting in the Enviroment the physical input to a channel splitter and connected the outputs of it to both AudioInstruments, but then there is a terrible latency (almost a second!) on both instruments, making it unuseble for live playing. Is there an other way to aceive a connection between two midi source devices and two different AudioInstruments and be able to play without this huge latency? Thanks for your help, Igor Binsbergen.
