As a recent immigrant to OSX (Jaguar), but a decade-long Logic user, I'm
somewhat dismayed by the fact that I can't seem to use some of my long-
standing key commands.
I use F13, F14, F15 for the three zoom presets. (option to store), but only
F13 seems to work anymore as OSX seems to have Shanghaied the other
two.
I also had CTR-OPT-CMD-* assigned, and now it seems to turn the screen
into a negative black and white image. Very bizarre. Can anyone tell me how
to reclaim my key commands if it is possible? Or do I have to give them up?

Go to System Preferences, "Keyboard & Mouse" you should be
able to
set the appropriate options for the F-Keys there (I am on Panther and
it has changed there so I can't offer you a walkthrough for Jaguar
anymore, sorry...:)
By the way: in Panther, this is the place you want to look if you
have any conflicting key commands...

check system preferences "Universal Access" you can disable the
"Switch to White on Black" option there.

Mac OS X has some key combination reserved for system tasks. In
Panther, you can configure them in System Settings > Keyboard & Mouse

Shortcuts.
