Hi All

Also have a problem with selecting and adjusting MIDI regions...
example 1:
select the MIDI region, set the locators and call:
Function>Object>Adjust
Object to Locators
- but it does not work! nothing happens... the *selected* MIDI region is
100% unchanged
NB: The selected "object" (a MIDI region) is not quantised
NB: the track of the selected object is also *selected* in the track list in
Arrange
example 2:
I record some MIDI and decide to loop from a start note that begins at 4 2 4
78
NB: I do NOT quantize the sequence/region)...
The manual says :
"- Adjusting the Start
You can also adjust the length of the sequence by grabbing it at the bottom
left corner. However, you can never move the left corner beyond the first
event in the sequence, i.e. you can never "hide" events from the
front. If
you want to remove the start of a sequence you have to cut it, and mute or
delete the start."
So I try the "finger method" BUT: it does NOT behave like the
manual says:
a) it DOES allow me to trim the region to before the first note: at bar
position 4 3 4 78 (NB: the first note is at 4 2 4 78 = a single beat out).
And it does that AND still plays the first (hidden) note of the sequence.
And when I move the whole region to 1 1 1 1 it then misses out the first
note (ok, that’s logical) = worst of both worlds (it doesnt and does work)
Later...
After moving a few notes at the end of the sequence using the Matrix Editor
The region is now 12 bars long. But the loop sounds broken, out of time
NB: The signature is 4/4 and the Tempo List has but one entry.
So I hold&click on the region and I see above the Bar Ruler that the bar
length is now <12 12 0 0 0 163 > = so there are an extra 163 clicks
puts it
out in the loop!
I try Function>Object>Adjust Object to nearest bar:
- NOTHING happens. The bar length remains the same :(
The first note of the region is at 1 1 1 1
So I zoom in on the end of the region until it lets me snap the end of the
Region to the head of the bar - which in the Transport Bar says it should be
< 13 1 1 1 1 >. This is stressful...
q: what did I do wrong?
q: is there some preferences I can set to make this sort of thing less
likely happen?
q: do I have corrupted preferences?
Thnaks in advance for any help!
