Well done Hendrik for what you did so far! Many thanks, it is very useful.
A FAQ is one thing, but with so many different Logic updates do you think
that a definitive list of known bugs & issues would help this list? If
we
could all agree what is a BUG, what is an ISSUE of course... ;) You dont
want to have FAQs about BUGs, do you?
As a newbie to Logic my biggest problem is working out if my problem is:
a) me
b) the interface
c) the hardware
d) the OS
e) Logic
f) digital voodoo weirdnessess
g) none of the above
If I knew which it *might* be then I would know to wait for eMagic to fix a
bug, or return to the manual to fix my knowledge and thereby save bandwidth

Thanks :)

That's exactly the problem. Quite a few people call something a bug
while actually it's their personal preference that something worked
other than it does (or it's their lack of reading the manual, etc).
And then there's the real bugs -- but these change from update to
update, and since there's so many updates (relatively), I wonder if a
bug-list would ever be complete or not-outdated or ...
And there's also the problem of many bugs/problems being very
hardware specific -- Logic 5 with interface X has behaviour A, while
Logic 6 with the same audio interface has behaviour B, but then
interface Y with Logic 6 _does_ again have behaviour A, except when
you adjust some setting in the interface's control panel upon which
you see behaviour C, etc, etc.

Always a good guess :-)

Another good guess...

Waiting for Emagic to fix a bug can be a long wait...
