that. On the other hand if you are running pretty stable in 98SE you might
want to just leave it be. Every system is different and you might have more
trouble than I did.

There was a special LAWG 4.81 installer CD that was a available for a
time for Windows 2000. Logic didn't support Win XP until Logic 5. I'm
told the installer worked for Windows XP, but I can't comment on its
stability. I have a LAWG 4.81 installer CD for Win2K, but I hesiatate to
offer it because of intellectual property issues.

Logic did not "officially" support XP until V5. That is true, but
I know that there were a lot of people out there using 4.8 in XP with good
success. As I stated earlier, not without a few bugs, however.
I know that there were quite a lot of people using this combo, because I had
contact with a lot of them through the LUG over XP driver issues and the
usual new OS stuff. You see, I was one of those idiots that upgraded as soon
as XP hit the shelves, and got to by one of the taster rats. That is why it
sticks in my mind, and I must say I will never make that mistake again.
As to the win 2k install disk, that will be needed if he doesn't already
have it and Emagic doesn't have any more (which I doubt they do) they
probably wouldn't have any problem with someone sharing the install disk. He
already has a licensed copy the 2k install disk was simply an upgrade.
Kind Regards,
Tod
