Hi Jon, Just copying from one internal drive to another internal drive...total mouse and system freeze, cannont force quit, have to press the power button and reboot. Also in logic, could be playing happily away, then same total freeze except accompanied by a high pitched whine coming from the audio card (hammerfall) outputs. I don't think it has to do with the card, as I had the same behaviour before installing it (used AD-8000 firewire). Is the additional hard drive one that was installed by Apple at the time of purchase? What brand of 3rd party ram did you install? Would it be possible to remove any and all hardware (ram, drives, pci cards etc.) that didn't ship with the computer and run a simple test with Logic simply using coreaudio? It sure *sounds* like some funky hardware compatibility issue. best, Jon
