yes, I added one gig of RAM. I ran the test CD that came with it,
everything tests OK....
I have a hunch there is a power supply issue...

Hi Scott,
I know this is not a big help but here also i'm using a Dual 2ghz with
10.3.1 and a Digiface and its quite stable. Only bug is some noise with
the built-in audio out, (which i don't use) and some small video
interference because of the extension i use with my cinema display to
have 12 feet of cable.

i heard that Apple is exchanging power supplies on one line of G5
machines where the problem is noise coming through on the audio ports
whenever USB, Firewire or the harddrive is accessed. I don't know how
to go about this, probably best to contact your Apple dealer. (I
heard this from an Apple "Audio Solutions Expert", a music store
licenced to sell Apple products, so it is pretty save that this is
for real).
Of course only a few G5s are affected and only those with problems to
Apple's specs will have their power supplies replaced, I suppose.
