Yes, quicktime support would be useful - how about a built-in mp3 encoder/decoder? .....and have we sorted out the interleaved stereo versus separate (L) and (R) thing that makes transfers between host-based and DAE systems such a pain, or is that just how it is? When it says "DAE cannot play this interleaved stereo file", what's the best workaround? We seem to be able to export AIFFs WAVs etc quite happily with >copy/convert file< but I'd like to be able to export separate linked (L) and (R) files as combined AIFF stereo files, for example...is this possible? regards mdv > > Message: 23 > Date: Wed, 01 Dec 1999 19:17:36 -0500 > From: Charles Wiltgen <charles@...> > Subject: Re: Re: Sound Files translation > > David wrote... > > > Why do we need another app to translate from aiff to wave to sdII to whatever > > when LA export in any of thoses format? > > It sounds like the Logic team might want to look into supporting QuickTime > import/export. If they do, Logic will support every popular audio format > (and many esoteric flavors as well).
