"This is contrary to what I was told by two Digi national reps. They achknowledged that the midi aspect of Logic is stronger and that Emagic was a highly favoured developement partner and the process was under way to deliver drivers so as Logic could intregrate with their 001 hardware. Mr Fritze has not confirmed (and will not understandably) the formentioned." My two cents: I think Digi is just being or saying the Politically Correct thing to say. About 4 years ago, while attend a Logic Audio demo, the Emagic Rep kept making mention that Logic Audio was "Superior" to P/T is the Audio editing dept, and that "you will no long need to purchase a product like Pro-Tools. Now Digi and other's liek EMU-Ensoni's Paris will and are making gains in the Midi production market. As for Paris, it's next upgrade ( V 3.0) will include such things as Midi Sequencer,MME drivers, VST2.0 and an on card link to EMU's APS production studio card ( E4 sampler 64 voices)!! Why: Simple, Both Pro-Tools & Paris are great audio recorders but keeping up with the third party Audio sequencers companies are a pain in the butt. By creating their own sequencer from the ground up, the can have a "controled enviornment". User's can learn one way to do all things. Just liek we do with Cubase and Logic, Cakewalk, Performer. Let's be honest, most us Logic user's will ever tap into it's full potential. Personaly,I only use about 40percent of it's capabilities. I only need tight midi sequencing.
