Subject: [GEN] selling logic
Message #149361
i own logic platinum 5.5 for windows that i bought when it came out. i got all my original stuff, instruction books, install disks, and most importantly my xskey with es1,es2,evp88,evoc20. i also got an access code that will allow me to switch to mac if i wanted to. basicly, times is hard and i want to try and sell everything as a package deal so i can pay off some important bills. i spent alot of money on this stuff, yet i dont get a chance to use it enough to where its really worth owning right now. anyway what im trying to figure out is if its legal to sell my logic package, and how difficult is it to transfer ownership to a buyer? i dont see why anyone should would pay good money for my program you cant even update to version 6 or build on with other instruments like exs24,evd6. any thoughts? thanks

Since it's dongle (XS Key) protected, It's not as if you'll retain Logic after you sell it. > ....you cant even update to version 6 or build on with other > instruments like exs24,evd6. Wrong. Since the XSKey is coded for Mac, it can indeed be upgraded to version 6 and beyond. When you upgrade Logic itself, all the ancillary plugins get upgraded as well automatically. And, you can still buy other plugins that aren't already coded (in your case, EXS24, SpaceDesigner, EVB3, EVD6.....). f-erenc szabo, smarty pants Z+E+R+O+B+E+A+T "NOW POWERED BY THE MIRACLE OF THE TRANSISTOR!"
