Subject: [GEN] Environment swapping
Message #149330
I have been sent a project to mix. Although the hardware set-up is similar, the layout of the (mixer) environment is different, so my screen sets won't work. Some eq-ing has been started, so it would be good to retain that, but is it possible to swap for my own environment? - None of the options in Logic - Total replace, replace by name or merge suit my purpose. Cutting and pasting chunks of the mixer to replace my own seems to result in objects changing their status apparently randomly. e.g a Bus may become an input channel. I suspect this is because objects receive a unique identifying number as they are created, and we have all created our environments in a differing order. Perhaps someone can confirm or clarify this? How does anyone else do this swapping between environments? Maybe using the Track mixer instead of environment mixer overcomes this? RJ Film music OXFORD UK

It can't be done yet. Check the other thread "wish i could save/copy channel strips" Good luck Hans
