What I mean is, if I record a guitar track on audio track 1, and then "record over" it on the same track( meaning I didn't like that performance, and rerecord another guitar track) I can't get it to play the new recording, only the original ( which should be underneath, the new one, right?) is this more clear? I'm not doing cycle recording or anything like that, just straight record, stop, rewind record... thanks david ----Original Message Follows---- From: Dave Howard <iyh@...> Reply-To: logic-users@onelist.com To: <logic-users@onelist.com> Subject: Re: [LUG] Will ANYONE help me?recording probs... If you want to listen to 2 takes using the same Audio object you have to mute one of them - an audio object can only play one part at a time. Is this what you're trying to do? I'm a Mac user so don't know if this will help: Options>Settings>Recording> Then check: Create TRack in cycle mode and AutoMute track in cycle mode And record using cycle....?
