Subject: [LAM] Error: Deep Architechture - ?
Message #149130
So I am trying to do an offlince bounce of a track in Logic 6.3.1 on a G4 733 768MB RAM and I am getting this error message: "Deep Architechture - Please unpack some folders!". I then tried to freeze various CPU intensive tracks and am getting the SAME error message on any track freeze. The problem is that whenever this error message pops up it creates a heinous distortion in the bounced track / freeze file. The only thing I can think of is that I have plugins and Sampler Instruments located on two different firewire drives. The drives aren't chained together so it really shouldn't matter. The track DID bounce fine at one point and as it grew this problem started occuring. I can't bounce it at all now. Any ideas appreciated! Thanks!

Message appears when doing an 'Off-line' bounce, works fine with RealTime bounce. I can only presume some issue with 'Off-Line' bounce - like, same as doing Freeze file..? Song/ Audio/Samples on external Lacie FW PocketDrive Worked around today, but I would like to find out why this is happening - any thoughts? Thanks! Did you try the alert box suggestion ... unpacking some of the deeper folders? I did briefly experiment with using folders (and folders within folders) on WinLogic, but found that logic was sometimes choking on the resulting structures, and was sometimes doing very wierd things like claiming that structures had been corrupted, or that it was suddenly finding recursive structures where there shouldn't have been any. :( So now I try not to rely on them too much, except for very simple stuff, and try to avoid nesting.
