Subject: 3.6.1 LAW and Alesis qs7 unwanted midi data transmitted
Message #9407
Hi folks. Whenever I try to play or record, My QS7's lcd display says "recieving midi data"...then the darn thing (QS7) resets to an unwanted setting. I've tried the midi options (turning them on then off, restarting each time)and using a qs7 environment...nothing makes this unwanted transmission from Logic go away. I've worked with a rep on this list from Alesis in the past to no avail. He verified that I had the MIDI settings correct. The only work-around is to move all audio regions to measure 5 or later and start the song at measure 5. I am so frustrated I bought a copy of Cubase (combined with the fact the after multiple attemts, Emagic did not seem to want or need my money to upgrade to 4.0...it seems that the upgrade would have cost me less than a full copy of VST) I am just unable to get the LAW software to do what it is rumored/designed to do. (audio and MIDI side by side) I love the SW studio environment, Emagic was my first. But I'm about to throw in the towell. Can anyone lend an ear to help? Signed, A once loyal 2 year LA devotee, now disenfranchised user. Thanks!!
