f-erenc szabo wrote on 1/12/99 5:14 am from zerobeat@... I've been using SW1000XG with PLG100-VL Virtual Acoustic daughter board the on a Mac for a few months with a great deal of success, despite Yamaha's patchy support. There is an ASIO driver & editing software called XG Editor. SW1000XG runs 12 tracks of audio using the same FX as the 64 voice MIDI side. I run is side by side with DS2416 with some success e.g: I can send the stereo output of SW into DS internally, though I am yet to work out why I 'd ever want to do this :0) XG Editor works fine, though it has problems accessing PLG100-VL sounds, so I have to do a bit of "gymnastics" with MSB & LSBs. To sum-up SW1000XG is an extremely competent basic synth & it does work with a Mac & Logic pretty well. On the other hand, be prepared for some frustration... Regards - Maciek > From: zerobeat@...
