An error message like this is very common if Logic once crashed and you try to restart without re-booting the machine (not sure if you are on PC or Mac). Here my recommendations: 1.) Try to insert the AW card into another PCI slot and re-install drivers. This has solved my similar problems nearly completely! 2.) Install VMR software (which came along with you Audiowerk card). VMR is just a simple multitrack recorder, BUT it can initialize the Audiowerk, whereas Logic can´t! I have created a new icon on my desktop and simply launch VMR before I start Logic (in case of errors only, of course). This only takes a few seconds, but most of the time, the Audiowerk can be recovered and Logic starts without any error message. All the best Thomas
