>From: "WillyDon" <willydon@...> > >.. jus wondering, but pondering; and now i'm staggering! Randomly when I >launch a song created in logic (lawp4.0), I get the following error: > >"Audiowerk: >This audio device could not be initialized! " This is like the "standard" AW8 error. Happens kinda often when Logic crashed or when the AW8 crashed in some other application, using the MME drivers. Two workarounds (no, they are no real workarounds): 1) Don't use the AW8 for anything else but Logic. Personally I have another soundcard for MME tasks such as wave editors. So these days I don't even have the MME drivers installed at all. 2) Install the VMR software from the AW8 CD (or get it from Emagics website). Starting the VMR re-initializes the AW8 without having to reboot Windows. Sorry, can't help with your Audio files not being found, never had that problem at all. All I know is that Logic sometimes mixes up record paths when you were moving folders. But that's just seldom plus the audiofiles are still there, you just have to locate them. Sascha
