Also, try looking on some Macforums or check an X book. However, it may be necessary to re-install your entire OS again...or wait until you can talk to the guy.

Thanks, I wiped the drive and reinstalled OSX from scratch with my own password. Then the next problem occurred: The Audiophile USB driver for OSX is makes the G5 freeze ;-( Sad facts of life is I will have to put it aside for two weeks and prepare some upcoming public clinics on a XP laptop instead.
