Hi-got a problem. There are 2 of us who have been using LogicAudio on
PC since it's beginnings...no problems!! I've used WindowsME and my
friend Win98SE. We both have very similair set-ups...me with an M-
Audio delta1010 and my friend a delta44. We've both just swapped to
windowsXP with Logic Audio 5.5.1 and followed info given by
MusicXP.net to tune our pc's to best cope with Audio work. Since
doing all this we both get little and totally annoying clicks in our
audio at about the rate of 1 in every 30 takes. Also sometimes
seemingly in playback. Does anyone know whats going on? Buffering
doesn't seem to help. All our drivers are the latest XP drivers.
Everything should be great. I've picked up a lot of knowledge about
Logic having used it now for the best part of 8 years but this
problem is making a great set-up almost unuseable!!HELP!!

I had this same problem when I made the move but I was using a Motu 2408mkII
with a PCI-324 card. Motu never helped me with the drivers so I decided to
dump that device and went with the RME Hammerfall and have never had any
clicks pops or problems. Another site you might want to look at is
http://www.opusaudioprojects.net/Articles.htm, this will give you some other
tricks and tips to changing you PC into a DAW. I don't know if this will fix
your problem but you might want to call tech support about your hardware
because it sounds like it's a driver issue that they never optimized for XP.
Hope this helps
