Subject: [LAM] Multiple MIDI channels in a Single Instrument Insert
Message #145513
Hi Gang, I am a few days into my 30-day Logic6 Platinum demo period. I am trying to run an instance of Kontakt, which contains several different instruments on different MIDI channels. I have not been able to figure out how to use more than a single MIDI channel in a single instance. I assume it is possible? I'm probably making some elementary, dumbo newbie mistake, I'm currently a DP user thinking about switching. I'd appreciate any tips to get me going. Thanks, Trond

To get multi-timbral VSTi's working, first create a new Multi-Instrument in the environment (Audio layer, where the mixer is). Cable the instrument into the mixer strip that contains the VSTi. Select the mixer strip, and in the parameter pane, set the 'Cha' parameter to 'All'. Now assign Arrange tracks to the 16 sub-instruments of the Multi-Instrument, instead of assigning them to the mixer strip directly. -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra h @ k n o w a r e . n l Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com/
