I'm using an old serial unitor8 and just bought a new mac. I have a serial to USB adaptor, but I keep getting "no modem or printer port available". I've changed settings in the adapter's software to "emulate printer port" but to no avail the Unitor still isn't recognized. Anyone out there with experience in this matter? If so your suggestions are very welcomed.

i've banged my head against this one with no luck. i use the usb to serial with other stuff - i have a driver for the interface for OS X. the problem seems to be a lack of a driver for the device. if device has an OS X driver then everything works OK. steve parker
