Subject: [LAM] About to purchase an M-Audio audiophile 2496, seeking user
Message #145385
I have a B&W G3/350 running LAMG 5.5. I want 2 channels of quality 24bit/44.1 audio I/O. Is this card working well for you guys? What is the verdict on the sound quality? Thanks.

I think it's better on a PC. I Tried to get help from them but there customer service was even worse. So i gave up on them and bought the Emagic 2|6m. the sound quality was way better and it didn't crash my system. So that was just my expirience though. I hope this helps Ruben

I hope this helps I use the Audiophile USB on my home setup and have had no problems with it at all. Running Logic 6.2 on a Dual 1.42 G$, OS 10.2.6. My only criticism is that it makes a rather loud pop/glitch sound when you re-boot, so I have to remember to turn it down. Otherwise, no complaints. I've had this this card for about 18 months and no problems, on my G4/400. nice crisp sound to my ears. Delta drivers are good too.

Could you please advise how do you configure the Logic to read the audiophile (ie. audio coming in via the USB device)? I can't seem to locate Audiophile in my Logic software except as an OMS. Yet I can't get it on track or hear any audio. Thanks and regards, PJ

Otherwise, no complaints. > Hi Fred Story, I have recently installed a USB card into my beige G3 and upgraded the OS 8 to 9. The reason I've done that is because I've also purchased an Audiophile USB, which I've also installed into the G3 successfully. I'm running Logic Gold 3.5.3 on my computer... Could you please advise the steps to configure the Logic to read the Audiophile please? Many thanks. PJ
