Subject: [LAM] Effect automation "snapshot"?
Message #145379
Hi, I'm a recent (1 week) convert to LAP 6 from DP. I'm having a great time exploring and sussing out this amazing app, and have come across the first real puzzle that I'm unable to sort out myself. In DP, I could open a plug-in window and take a "snapshot" of all the effect's current parameters in one shot, and specify the time range to apply the snapshot to (e.g., 'from counter to song end'), at which point all of the plug-in's current settings were written as automation data. This made it very easy to create a scene where a plug-in changed many/all of its parameters instantly. As far as I can tell, with Logic, I have to insert each parameter to be automated individually (yikes!) or have the transport play in touch mode as I adjust each one, which makes for an even messier situation. Anyone have any ideas on how to achieve a snapshot in Logic (OS 9)? Thanks, Greg
