I have tried, and nothing changes. In any case, this doesn't
account for the fact that: a) Pro Tools uses the SAC quite happily
on the USB interface, and b) so does Logic if you use the Logic
Control emulation mode.
This is a problem with Logic's SAC plug-in, or Radikal's 3.01
firmware, or both.

My SAC always wakes up in 'LOGIC (not 'LGC') mode, and there
appears to be no communication between it and Logic Audio
once it's started up. My understanding is that Logic has to do its
initialisations etc. in order to find out there's a controller there
at
all.
Michael, if you're reading this, it would be helpful to know what
action I should take. When do you think a solution to the
problem will appear? Should I be talking to Radikal too?
