Subject: CDR recommendations/B&W G3
Message #170
I am looking for advice on the best way to back up audio and sequence data. I'm assuming writing to CD would be best, and need recommendations on the best unit to use with my B&W G3 (No SCSI) DF

I bought Lacie cause this was one of the first USB CD-writers. I regret it. It is slow, 2x write speed and here is a quote: "Thanks for your message. Currently the method in which the LaCie drive is supported by Toast is proprietary, so you're kind of saddled with the hardware/software combination that they provide to you." This is a quote from Charismac, a CD-mastering software company. This was bad news to me.
