Those of you who are planning to buy an Apple laptop to use Logic on the road might be interested by this : for the THIRD time in three years (and on 3 different machines : an orange iBook, an iBook 800 and now a 15 inches PB 867) I am experiencing the same problem of dead (or mad ?) battery. All of a sudden it refuses to charge, remaining at 0%. Tried eveyrhing possible (resetting power management unit, resetting nvram in Open firmware, removing the battery, resetting PRAM). No success. This always happened on a few months-old machines, and from what I just read on the Internet I'm far from being the only one enountering this problem. Only solution I found is to buy a new battery... and this after 7 months ! Yann Le Bihan
