Hi Hans,
Yes I have noticed this problem too, and it drives me crazy as it makes me
extrememly unconfident that the automation is doing what I want, when I
want. I reported this to Emagic via their website weeks ago, and had
absolutely no response from them.
I would be interested to know how many other people have this problem (or
indeed, if anyone doesn't).
Here's the description of my problem in a mail that I wrote to the list on
this subject a short while ago:
Logic's track/hyperdraw automation seems to be lagging, despite the fact
that I have "Sample Accurate Pan, Volume and Send" checked in
"Audio
Preferences". For example if I want to implement a sample volume drop,
I
find I'm having to draw the actual drop in about a 1/16 beat earlier,
otherwise I'll hear the glitch of the sample cutting out! I wouldn't expect
there to be such lag, as this used to work fine on my 8200/120. It's really
infuriating, as if you use a lot of track automation (as I do), you feel as
though you are making changes in the dark.
Thanks,
