Subject: [LUG] [LAM] PCI full, but i need a picture on the tv
Message #140198
Hi, i´m working on a g3 beige ( yes i do), because it´s perfect and very(!) stable for me right now. The only thing that bothers me is that i´m running out of pci. It wouldn´t be such a problem to get the picture to a tv set, but i need something like a combo card, which offers me a second vga output plus a video out for a quicktime overlay at the same time or a firewire solution (?). I hope there are any suggestions out there. That´s what i have: Beige g3 revA, sonnet encore g3 500Mhz, PCI 1:Audiwerk8, PCI 2: TwinTurbo graphics card (for the 2nd monitor), PCI 3: sonnet trio (firewire-usb-ultra-ata-133-card), MacOs 9.1, 600something RAM. best regards Andreas

I haven't used it for any extended sessions yet, but it seems to work perfectly. It also doesn't seem to eat up much CPU power. Dave Lewis

Try looking at a piece of software called Echo Fire. You will need a firewire to video converter box also
