Subject: dead audio file upon "reverse"
Message #9050
HI list, yesterday I was trying to reverse a really nice guitar noise I had recorded the day before to hear what that would sound like with LAMP 4.0.6. It only took about 2 seconds for a 700k files and then the entire file was just digital noise. This is the first time anything like that has ever happened to me, has anyone else experienced this before? I tried installing 4.0.7 but I can't. "Something prevented the update from completing" no matter whether I try to install it over 4.0.6, 4.0.5. or 4.0.4. All this is taking place on a PPC 7600, MacOS 8.6, few extra extensions (rebirth, N2MP3, Aladdin) with 112 RAM and enough hd space. any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated since I have a rising suspicion that my system has become unreliable lately and I need to pin this down to something. thanks! think different!
