Message #138443
Is anyone familiar with using Midi-OX or Midi-Yoke ? I plan on using it with 'logic fun' to connect (MIDI) to VST Instruments . (Logic Fun is not vst/directX compliant) Will this work, is there another way to go about this ? Thank You, Bob

Bob, >> From: Bob [mailto:hrdrkr57@...] >> I plan on using it with 'logic fun' to >> connect (MIDI) to VST Instruments . >> (Logic Fun is not vst/directX compliant) To the best of my knowledge this will not work - MIDI-OX/Yoke will only connect two MIDI programs. The VST Instruments always need to be run inside a VST host (like the full version of Logic). If you can find a cheap VST host you can cable Logic to that host using MIDI-OX or Yoke. The free VST hosts I have heard of (though I have no experience with eith of them): 1. Computer Musys sequencer (free with Computer Music magazine) 2. Fxpansion's Simple VST host beta. There may well be better ones for minimal money. Regards, Steve.
