To sum it up, I have had similar experiences, and the general advice from Steinberg (after all optimizations have been attempted) was to run the Grand on a PC. Tech support generally blamed problems on Apple computer itself. I sold my copy of The Grand and went back to a Rompler for piano sounds, though I haven't tried any of the samples thru EXS24 yet. -Marshall
