I recently acquired an old (vintage!) proteus 1 w/InVision upgrade. This
module does
not recognize bank changes via MIDI. I am new to logic and I was wondering
if
something could be done in the environment to access all of the sounds, just
can't
get a grasp on what to do. I did find an environment via the web, but it
didn't seem to
work. If I got going in the right direction I could probably set it up
myself. thanks,

Hey gang,
A while back there were some strong recommendations for an internet supplier
of Mac memory. I just bought the Vienna Symphonic Library for EXS-24 and
maxed out my memory almost instantly - 1Gig ain't enough!
So I need to take the old Mac up to 2gigs. Which supplier do we like for
quality, reliable Mac memory upgrades?
Thanks,
James Ryan

Select whatever ram type you need and you'll get a list of prices
at different locations. As long as you buy with your credit card
(you can always get a refund if you have a problem), I say buy
from the cheapest one!

I tend to get all my Mac upgrades (hard drive, memory, processor, some
PCI expansion, etc.) from Other World Computing. They seem to offer
quality product (I have never had an issue), have good warrantees
(lifetime on memory....and guaranteed Apple compliant) and low prices.
They may not be the absolute lowest in price, but they are always
competitive with the best deals. This, in conjunction with my good
experience with their offerings as well as their wide range of products,
keeps me using them as essentially my sole provider except in instances
where they simply do not offer a specific product I am looking for.
