I am running Logic 6 Plat on a G3 400 and running the 8 analog outs from my DIGI001 into a mixer.. but I want 16 outs..now I am wondering if i buy either the AI3 or VC8 will it work ok through logic 6? if so which one would be the better choice to provide me with 8 extra ins and 8 extra outs? Which ADAT Analog Converter to buy? The Fostex is a half rack size. It has an external power brick. > > -OR- > > Alesis AI3 Analog-to-ADAT Optical Interface 399.99 The AI3 connectors are 1/4 TRS and it's a little quieter than the Fostex. The AI3 is a full rack size and has rack ears to connect to your rack if that's what you need. The AI3 has an internal power supply, which I always like a lot more than external power bricks. The AI3 has a gain change switch from -10dBV to +4dBu. Both have PDF manuals at Fostex.com and Alesis.com respectively.
