I can second that. I'm using The Grand on my PB G4 1GHz/1GB with Logic Platinum (5.5 so far, just started testing 6). I've also allocated 500MB to Logic and I'm using the RME multiface, and I run it from the internal drive. It runs relatively decently. However this program is a hog. You can get drop outs or disk overloads if you want to - e.g. trying some classic piece which requires the sustain pedal throughout you will finally get there. For average use it is o.k., and sounds good to me. I had problems (clicks and pops, and very frequent disk overload) on my PB G3 Wallstreet 300MHz/384MB using MacAV. One weak link may be the USB interface, but you might also check the speed of your drives. I don't think there is a general statement on whether internal or firewire is better. (I think firewire drives are still limited by some interface chip, but I might be mistaken.) Thomas
