Hi all,
I've just added a mix card to my setup and was wondering if anyone
knows how to see what plugins are assigned to what chip and how much
each plugin is using. Like the window in pro tools that lets you see
whats going on with the plugins. I'm using logic 6 with UAD/Motu/Mix
core hardware. Any info would be much appreciated!
thanks
mish
p.s I'm talking about TDM plugins on the Mix core card.

Download the 'Allocator' utillity from Digidesign's site, it is free
and gives you exactly the same overview as in Protools. I have it in
my startup folder so it loads when booting.

Okay thanks! I got allocator. Now whats the trick to running more
than 7 plugin's!!! I load up
1 x ampfarm
1 x rencomp
1 x reneq 4 band
1x focusrite 6 band eq
1 x focusrite comp
1 x waves supertap
1 x digi rack comp
If I try to load say a drawmer comp I get the -7204 error. Looking in
allocator I see that 2 dsp are basically full but 2 others are only 33%
full. Is there something I'm missing! The idea of calling the a card
a "mix" card seems a little
odd. Is it because some plugin's like to share and others don't? If
so is there some special dance I have to do to get the plugin's i want
to use on a track to load?
thanks
mish
