Subject: [LUG] [LAM] Anyone using an MBox with Logic?
Message #138081
Hello list, I'm in the market for a good usb audio interface with mic pre's. If anyone is using an Mbox or anything else that is similar and would like to tell me what they think of it, and how it works with Logic under OSX I would greatly appreciate it. G4 Towerbook 800 OSX .2 Logic 5.5 Thanks Brad

The Mbox works great with Logic 6 in OSX & 9. I like the focusrite mic pre¹s  though I use an Avalon 737sp on most stuff and then go into the Mbox line level. No noticeable sonic difference between the Mbox, Apogee Mini Me or Motu 896  which I have all tested and recorded with. The Mbox is the best for the money + you get pro tools 6 which is a bonus. The Apogee has a great soft limit compression system that is useful if you don¹t have any compression outboard gear  and the Motu 896 is great if you need 8 XLR ins & outs. -- David M. <http://www.pottymouthproductions.com>; <http://www.themandrakes.com>;
