To be picky I think this is wrong.
Although I won't bet money on it, I'm pretty sure one of the first OSX
versions of Logic actually had 2 meters for audio.
But there was a bug so the second meter disappeared. And have not returned
yet. I think (hope) it will.
I seem to remember some posts about it some time ago.

Uh, Maybe in V6, not 6, and I thought we were talking about a current
version of Logic in OSX?
