Hi,
Im importing midi files to LAW 4.7 and then trying to print out
the score. I can hear lots of notes which I cant see in the music
score. (the notes are there in the events list too)
Anyone know how to make them visible?
bye,
EC

In the upper left of the Score window you will see a box containing a
parameter called "Quantization"...or something to that effect.
Increase
the resolution (I believe it defaults to displaying 16th notes) and you
will see the "missing notes" magically appear.
Take care

Thanks for the suggestion. It turned out that it was the midi
channel. Although I had meged all the tracks from the imported midi
file, the event editor showed notes asigned to channels 1 through 5.
When going to the score editor, ch1 notes appeared in the upper piano
stave and ch3 notes in the lower. ALl other channels were invisible
in the score. I can change notes by hand in the event editor and they
appear in the score OK. Is ther a quicker way?

It depends on whether you mind how the part looks on the score page.
You can double click on the score style, and add a voice not set to
any channel, and you will then see all the notes without having to
change their channels in the Event List, but they will all be in the
same voice on one or other staff. The point of giving them different
channels in the first place is to facilitate their layout on the
staff, but until you suss it, it is very surprising to hear the notes
and not be able to see them. Confused me (about 10 years ago, it must
be now.) Regards Brian
