Subject: [LUG] [LAM] powerkeys any good?
Message #138018
Just want to find out whether any of you experienced users use the powerkeys application and whether any of you that use it can pass on your opinion of the product. Is it worth investing in? Is it worth investing in? I bought Powerkeys before realising that it can't be used without buying a new keyboard (if you have a new style apple one) by the time I'd done that, I'd spent enough to have bought one of the replacement key kits (see this month's Sound On Sound review) and that would have given me coded access to a lot more of the keyboard (the Powerkeys kit sticks round the edges so it doesn't highlight things in the middle) Frankly I think the powerkeys kit is very expensive for what amounts to sticky labels. I also find that it tries to hard to do to much and as a consequence I have to keep looking at the key coding strips to work out which modifier key I need to achieve the result I'm looking for. Just my two pennies. Gareth>

May 2003, p122, BSP Europe Logic Keyboard. I tried following the web links given in the article but they did not lead me to the product so I guess that you'll need access directly to SOS to see the info. Looks good to me! Gareth

Just spotted this recently...haven't seen Sound on Sound, but is this the "replacement key" option they look at? http://www.logickeyboard.com http://www.logickeyboard.com/Shop_Europe/AUDIO_KEYBOARDS/Emagic_Logic_Audio_ EU/Emagic_Logic_audio.php Here's a freshly posted review I stumbled across by accident: http://www.uemedia.com/CPC/article_7242.shtml
